The CSRA — the Central Savannah River Area — covers Augusta and the communities around it, and each one has its own feel. If you're moving here, here's a friendly, plain-spoken overview to help you get your bearings.
Evans is known for strong schools, newer neighborhoods, and easy access to shopping and parks — it's a favorite for families. Martinez, right next door, offers established neighborhoods and mature trees with a similar easygoing pace.
Grovetown has grown quickly thanks to nearby Fort Eisenhower, with newer construction and a real sense of community. Harlem, a little farther west, keeps a small-town charm that a lot of people fall for. And Augusta itself blends historic districts, a revitalizing downtown, and, of course, a certain golf tournament each spring.
Wherever you're headed, the best way to choose is to spend a little time in each area — drive the commute, visit on a weekend, picture your daily life there. We've helped a lot of families find their spot in the CSRA, and we're always glad to share what we know. Just reach out.
